WALLIS BIRD NOMINATED FOR THE CHOICE MUSIC PRIZE
Wallis Bird is nominated for Ireland's Choice Music Prize for her album 'Home', alongside Lisa Hannigan and James Vincent McMorrow among others. This is her second nomination for the prestigious award.
HADESTOWN TO OPEN OFF-BROADWAY
Anais Mitchell's newly expanded theatrical version of her acclaimed album 'Hadestown' opens at New York Theatre Workshop in May 2016, and due to high demand the run has been extended until July. The show is written by Anais and directed by Obie award winner Rachel Chavkin.
WALLIS BIRD PERFORMS 12 HOUR SOLO CONCERT
Wallis Bird played a 12 hour non-stop concert on the 9th Jan 2016 in Berlin in aid of refugee projects in the city. Thanks to everyone who queued for hours outside. It was a truly special night.

ANAÏS MITCHELL WINS AT THE BBC RADIO2 FOLK AWARDS
Anais Mitchell won Best Traditional Song together with collaborator Jefferson Hamer at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. Broadcast live from the Royal Albert Hall in London, Anais and Jefferson also performed the winning track 'Willie of Winsbury' from their Child Ballads album. Huge congratulations!
WALLIS BIRD CHOICE MUSIC PRIZE NOMINATION
Wallis has been nominated for Ireland's prestigious Choice Music Prize for her third album, 'Wallis Bird'. Released in spring 2012, Wallis toured the album across Europe and into the USA. The Choice Music Prize is similar to the UK's Mercury Prize, but eligible only to Irish musicians.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA ALBUM TOPS THE CHARTS
Christina Aguilera's new album 'Bionic', which features a collaboration with Le Tigre, has debuted at number 1 in the UK album charts. The track 'My Girls' co-written by Le Tigre appears on the album. 'Bionic' has also entered the Billboard charts at number 3, and is in the Top 10 album charts across Europe.

Anais Mitchell's "Hadestown" has received a Grammy nomination for Best Recording Package, together with her collaborators, art director Brian Grunert and illustrator Peter Nevins. Congratulations to all. The release met with critical acclaim from all corners, with 5 star reviews in The Sunday Times, Guardian and Observer. Tastemaker website Drowned in Sound awarded the album a rare 10/10, asserting that it is "nothing short of awe-inspiring", while NME gave it 9/10, calling it "nothing short of incredible".

Sally Seltmann, the writer behind New Buffalo and the worldwide hit song '1234' (Feist) has completed her new album, "Heart That's Pounding". It will be released in North America in spring 2010 with the rest of the world to follow.

Le Tigre have been in the studio with Christina Aguilera writing songs for her forthcoming record. The album is due out in spring 2010.

Wallis Bird has won a Meteor Award for the second year running - this time as Best Female Artist. The ceremony was held in Dublin's RDS where other winners on the night included Florence and the Machine, Leonard Cohen and Lady Gaga.

Konstantin Gropper, alias Get Well Soon, has signed to Candid. The 25 year old German has been turning heads in his native Germany where he became the biggest indie newcomer in 2008 with a top 30 debut album and sell-out 19 date headlining tour. Congratulations to Kimya Dawson on the massive success of the soundtrack to 'Juno', the Oscar winning hit film. The soundtrack, which is mainly comprised of songs by Kimya and her former band The Moldy Peaches, went to number 1 on the American Billboard charts, and has been climbing high in the charts around the rest of the world too.

The song '1234' by Sally Seltmann (aka New Buffalo) and Feist is now on a worldwide TV advertising campaign for Apple iPods. Congratulations to Sally! WALLIS BIRD SIGNS TO ISLAND
Wallis Bird has signed a worldwide deal with Island Records UK, joining a stable of artists that includes U2, PJ Harvey, Amy Winehouse and Lady Sovereign, and classic artists such as John Martyn, Nick Drake and Bob Marley.
