HADESTOWN's West End production is nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival.

The show opened at the Lyric Theatre on February 21st 2024, following its 2018/2019 run at London's National Theatre.

Anais Mitchell has announced her first new solo studio album in a decade. The self-titled album will be released on January 28th 2022. First single "Bright Star" is out now.

HBO Max's new animation film 'The Runaway Bunny', narrated by Tracee Ellis Ross, features the song "You Are My Baby' by Kimya Dawson. The soundtrack also includes Mariah Carey, Rufus Wainwright, Kelly Rowland and Michael Kiwanuka among others.

Bonny Light Horseman, the folk supergroup made up of Ana​ïs Mitchell, Eric Johnson (Fruit Bats) and Josh Kaufman (The National, HISS Golden Messenger) have been nominated for two Grammy Awards including Best Folk Album.

Konstantin Gropper, aka Get Well Soon, has scored Season Two of the Netflix series 'How To Sell Drugs Online...Fast", which premieres on July 30th 2020. Konstantin also wrote the music for Season One of the show.

The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Anais Mitchell's Hadestown has won the Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album. Congratulations to the producers, Anais, Todd Sickafoose and David Lai, and to the whole cast and team who created such a beautiful record!

After runs at the National Theatre, London, The Citadel Edmonton, and off-Broadway at New York Theatre Workshop, Anaïs Mitchell's musical "Hadestown", based on her original studio album of the same name, opened on Broadway on April 17th 2019 at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Wallis Bird is nominated for Ireland's Choice Music Prize for her album 'Home', alongside Lisa Hannigan and James Vincent McMorrow among others. This is her second nomination for the prestigious award.

Anais Mitchell's newly expanded theatrical version of her acclaimed album 'Hadestown' opens at New York Theatre Workshop in May 2016, and due to high demand the run has been extended until July. The show is written by Anais and directed by Obie award winner Rachel Chavkin. 

Wallis Bird played a 12 hour non-stop concert on the 9th Jan 2016 in Berlin in aid of refugee projects in the city. Thanks to everyone who queued for hours outside. It was a truly special night. 

Kimya Dawson has a new band called The Uncluded, and their debut album 'Hokey Fright' will be released on May 7th 2013 by Rhymesayers.

Anais Mitchell won Best Traditional Song together with collaborator Jefferson Hamer at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. Broadcast live from the Royal Albert Hall in London, Anais and Jefferson also performed the winning track 'Willie of Winsbury' from their Child Ballads album. Huge congratulations!

Wallis has been nominated for Ireland's prestigious Choice Music Prize for her third album, 'Wallis Bird'. Released in spring 2012, Wallis toured the album across Europe and into the USA. The Choice Music Prize is similar to the UK's Mercury Prize, but eligible only to Irish musicians.

Anais Mitchell has been nominated for a BBC Folk Award in the category of Best Original Song for 'Tailor', from her recent album 'Young Man in America'. The album has also made it onto many important Best of 2012 lists, including the Independent on Sunday, MOJO magazine, Uncut magazine, NPR and the Wall Street Journal

Christina Aguilera's new album 'Bionic', which features a collaboration with Le Tigre, has debuted at number 1 in the UK album charts. The track 'My Girls' co-written by Le Tigre appears on the album. 'Bionic' has also entered the Billboard charts at number 3, and is in the Top 10 album charts across Europe.

Anais Mitchell's "Hadestown" has received a Grammy nomination for Best Recording Package, together with her collaborators, art director Brian Grunert and illustrator Peter Nevins. Congratulations to all. The release met with critical acclaim from all corners, with 5 star reviews in The Sunday Times, Guardian and Observer. Tastemaker website Drowned in Sound awarded the album a rare 10/10, asserting that it is "nothing short of awe-inspiring", while NME gave it 9/10, calling it "nothing short of incredible". 

Sally Seltmann, the writer behind New Buffalo and the worldwide hit song '1234' (Feist) has completed her new album, "Heart That's Pounding". It will be released in North America in spring 2010 with the rest of the world to follow.

Le Tigre have been in the studio with Christina Aguilera writing songs for her forthcoming record. The album is due out in spring 2010.

Wallis Bird has won a Meteor Award for the second year running - this time as Best Female Artist. The ceremony was held in Dublin's RDS where other winners on the night included Florence and the Machine, Leonard Cohen and Lady Gaga.

Wallis Bird delighted TV viewers by cartwheeling up onto the stage to collect her award for Hope for 2009 at the Irish Meteor Awards. Other winners included Leonard Cohen, Elbow, James Morrison and Duffy. Congratulations Wallis!

The soundtrack album to the hit film 'Juno', which was heavily contributed to by Kimya Dawson, has picked up a Grammy for Best Soundtrack at the 2009 awards ceremony. Congratulations Kimya!

Liz and Phillippa attended MIDEM in January where they inked new sub-publishing deals with D-Version in Greece, Basement Music in South America and Paynters in South Africa (pictured). We're looking forward to a long and great relationship with our new partners in these territories.

Konstantin Gropper, alias Get Well Soon, has signed to Candid. The 25 year old German has been turning heads in his native Germany where he became the biggest indie newcomer in 2008 with a top 30 debut album and sell-out 19 date headlining tour. The album's release here in the UK has found some heavyweight fans at press and radio, with plaudits and support coming from Radio 1, Radio 2, 6Music, Uncut Magazine, NME, and The Guardian among others.

Wallis is touring with the legendary Billy Bragg in April and May 2008 throughout the UK. Billy personally invited Wallis to open for him, saying _it's a treat to have Wallis Bird on tour with me...I think my audience will really appreciate her great songwriting"

Congratulations to Kimya Dawson on the massive success of the soundtrack to 'Juno', the Oscar winning hit film. The soundtrack, which is mainly comprised of songs by Kimya and her former band The Moldy Peaches, went to number 1 on the American Billboard charts, and has been climbing high in the charts around the rest of the world too.

The song '1234' by Sally Seltmann (aka New Buffalo) and Feist is now on a worldwide TV advertising campaign for Apple iPods. Congratulations to Sally! The song has already gone into the Top 20 in the UK and has been a regular feature on the playlists of many national radio stations including BBC Radio Two's A list for several weeks.

Wallis Bird has signed a worldwide deal with Island Records UK, joining a stable of artists that includes U2, PJ Harvey, Amy Winehouse and Lady Sovereign, and classic artists such as John Martyn, Nick Drake and Bob Marley. Island Records will release the 'Branches Untangle' EP in late November, with the first single and first album to follow in early 2007. Congratulations Wallis from everyone at Candid!
