Sally Seltmann
New Buffalo is singer-songwriter Sally Seltmann, best known for writing the international hit '1234' for Feist. The song secured a raft of award nominations for Feist, including Grammy and Brit Award nominations and featured in the high profile advertising campaign for the iPod Nano. Sally herself picked up an award as Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year from the Australasian Performing Rights Association.
New Buffalo first came to prominence through 2001's 'About Last Night' EP, earning acclaim from critics around the world. The debut album 'The Last Beautiful Day' went on to receive similar plaudits and featured contributions from Jens Lekmann and Beth Orton. More recently, the second album 'Somewhere, Anywhere' won the Myspace public vote in Australia, while across the pond in America, Entertainment Weekly crowned her as 'one of the ten most exciting artists now'.
